Mike Kurzey
3rd Year Trustee - Army

Graduate of Texas A&M University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  Commissioned in the Army as a reserve officer in 1988. Served as a combat engineer, facilities engineer, and trainer, holding positions of platoon leader, company executive officer, company commander, assistant S3, assistant brigade engineer, and battalion S3.  Served one year in Iraqi Freedom in 2004 to 2005. Retired from the Army Reserve in 2008 as a Major.  Professional Engineer licensed in Texas, Florida, and Illinois. Served as the engineer of record for several municipal entities, including serving as the City Engineer for the City of Magnolia.  Expertise includes land development, water plants, drainage, transportation, lift stations, water distribution, sanitary and storm sewer facilities, detention, and construction management.  Manage three offices in Texas and responsible for the Water Force South division of the corporation, which includes Texas and personnel in four Florida offices.  Currently serves on the Board of Directors for Baxter & Woodman, Inc., holding the position of treasurer, and the Board of Directors for the North Houston Association.
